I am truly honored to join the Charles Street School family.
Palmyra School District has been an important part of my journey as an educator, from completing my student teaching at the high school under Chris Tracey, to spending 10 years teaching English and advising various clubs and activities at PHS, and now continuing my work in the district as a Principal at Charles Street School. These experiences have allowed me to build meaningful relationships and develop a deep appreciation for the pride and sense of community that makes Palmyra such a special place.
In addition to my work in the district, I have had the opportunity to focus on literacy development through my work at Rutgers–Camden, where I am a lecturer in the education department. This has strengthened my passion for supporting students as readers, writers, and thinkers across all content areas. I believe that strong literacy skills open doors for our students, both in and beyond the classroom.
Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work alongside incredible educational leaders who have helped shape my leadership style to always be student- and teacher-first. Their mentorship has reinforced my belief in the importance of relationships, collaboration, and creating a supportive environment where both students and staff can thrive.
What makes this role especially meaningful to me is that Palmyra is not just where I work; it’s also my home. I live here with my husband, Donny, and our two cats, Meef and Potato. Being part of this community personally and professionally is something I value deeply, and it fuels my commitment to our students and families each and every day.
I am so looking forward to building relationships, supporting our students’ growth, and becoming part of the CSS family.
